8 days honeymoon safari experience in Tanzania.

Our Safari Overview

Before we begin, we would like to congratulate you for getting married!

A perfect honeymoon should always accompany a perfect wedding and we are here to help plan the perfect honeymoon experience for you with a safari and a beach holiday. Our honeymoon packages give you enough time to explore the wild while also leaving enough for the two of you to enjoy. We will sure notify the hotels and our partner of your special occasion making certain that you receive that extra special treatment through-out the trip. You can top you experience by choosing to go on a Hot Air balloon in the Serengeti, although quite expensive, the experience is magical.

At the end of the package in Serengeti you will take a short flight back to Arusha or fly to the Zanzibar or Mafia Island to enjoy some days of relaxation by the beach. Either way we will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a perfect experience.

Compared to the 7 days Honeymoon package this 8 days honeymoon package lets you experience Lake Manyara National Park on that extra day.

Most choose the option with the midrange lodge or the Luxury Lodges. The comfort range option is there for others who are not honeymooners who might be interested in the package (that said, we would not say no if you choose the comfort option for you honeymoon).

DURATION – 8 days (7 days, safari, 1 day arrival).

TRIP TYPE – Private Safari.

BEST TIME – All year round.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park.

Morning transfer into Tarangire National Park which is famed for having the highest concentration of elephants in the entire world that can be seen among its spectacular baobab trees that are suspected to live for hundreds of years. The park is named after the Tarangire River which is the only source of water for the animals during dry season, hence attracting lots of wildlife in Its many river circuits game driving loops. This will give us a chance to see plenty of animals on the river banks in search of water and greener pasture with the predators waiting. Later in the afternoon you will exit Tarangire and transfer to your accommodation with enough time for relaxation and enjoyment of the lodge.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Karatu Simba lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, world famous for its tree climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos, leopards and a magnificent bird life. The park is set out on east Africa’s stunning Rift Valley landscape and has varied habitats: ranging from acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, hot springs, swamps and the lake where all its animals can be found. Well also visit the hot water spring in Lake Manyara where the water flows through volcanic rock and comes out so hot that it burns to the touch (it is said that the water is hot enough to boil an Egg we dare you to bring one for trial).

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Karatu Simba Lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater.

After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we’ll leave for Ngorongoro conservation area in preparation to descend into the crater for a fantastic day of game viewing. The crater is the 8th wonder of the world and a designated world heritage site, it is a collapsed volcano home to more than 30,000 animals including all of Africa’s Big Five amongst which is the critically endangered black rhino. We will also have the optional opportunity of visiting a Maasai Boma (village) should you choose to see how this magnificent tribe lives in a primitive manner. After a fantastic day full of wildlife, you will ascend from the crater and transfer back our previous Lodge for a night of relaxation and unwinding. Alternatively depending on the season, we’ll spend the night in a lodge in the Serengeti or Ndutu right after the crater.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Karatu Simba Lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park.

Transfer to the endless plains of Serengeti via the pre-historic world heritage site of Olduvai Gorge sometimes referred to as the Cradle of Mankind (not to be mistaken by the cradle of mankind in south Africa). This is where the famous archeologist Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary Leakey discovered the HOMOHABILIS (the earliest members of the human genus). We will take a tour of the site and later on leave for Serengeti National Park for further game driving and exploration. Comes we will slowly make way to our accommodation by engaging in an en-route game drive to our lodge in central Serengeti for a much-needed hot shower, dinner and some rest and unwinding. (If we had spent the previous night in Serengeti or Ndutu then today will be a full day of exploring the plains).

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Serengeti simba lodge.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park.

Late in the afternoon, we will make our way back to the lodge/ Campsite for an evening of relaxation and reminiscing on the scenes from earlier in the day.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. | Accommodation: Serengeti simba lodge.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Arusha or Zanzibar.

If the season won’t be on our side or the migration too far then don’t be discouraged as we will continue with exploration of the Serengeti where we will be sure to see lots of amazing things. If you had chosen the optional activity to do a balloon safari then you will do it today either in the morning or in the evening depending on your preference and availability. Alternatively, In the evening we will head back to our lodge after a sunset in the Serengeti for another night in the wilderness.
